FAQs

Top Questions We Hear From Patients

What age should my child have an exam?

10 months!! Yep thats right, every child should have an eye examination under the age of one.  If a child has a visual problem it may not be correctible if after the age of 6.

What age should my child get contacts?

There is not a set age as to when a child can get contact lenses.  Contact lenses are a big responsibility and this is a decision between the child and parent. Most children get contact lenses in middle school/junior high.  Some ocular conditions or prescriptions will not allow for contact lenses and this will be discussed during the examination.
